Free weekly writing workshop at Es Racó

When we had the idea for Es Racó de Pau, one of the initial concepts was to create a welcoming place, where people can meet in person. Increasingly, ‘commmunity’ conjures up images of online users with shared interests. But, we think it’s important to return to shared, physical spaces, where people can interact. Starting from September, we will host a free Thursday morning writing workshop.

This is a drop-in session designed for working individually, but in good company. Set in our peaceful porch, with garden views, it’s an invitation to step away from daily distractions and dedicate time to your writing.

What to expect: Bring whatever project you’re currently working on (poetry, prose, journalling, whatever it is!) or bring a blank page!

  • All language welcome: We speak English, Spanish, Catalan and Italian, but you can write in whichever language you choose.
  • All levels welcome: No matter your experience and expertise, come and enjoy the writing process (and the cake).
  • Need inspiration? If you’re not currently working on something, I’ll have some prompts, exercises, and ideas available to get you started.
  • Feel like sharing? Opportunities to share your work and receive feedback will be available if you’d like, but there is no obligation to share.

Practical Details

  • When: Every Thursday, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM (feel free to drop in at any time during this window).
  • Where: Es Racó de Pau (outside Llucmajor, Mallorca).
  • Cost: Completely free (and always will be). Basic refreshments will be provided.
  • Commitment: None! Come whenever it suits your schedule.
Porche de la casa
